BREAKING NEWS: GOV. EMMANUEL APPROVES THE RELEASE OF 2019 PROMOTION FOR 2248 WORKERS | Ibomplaza News
In his avowed commitment to the development of workers and growth of the Civil Service, Governor Udom Emmanuel has approved the release of the 2019 promotion to 2248 workers in the state government employ.
The move which has received wide spread applause within and outside the Civil Service is a clear testimony of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s worker-friendly disposition as demonstrated in the numerous welfare packages provided for workers in the State.
Akwa Ibom State Head of Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, made this known today at the official opening ceremony of the 5-Day Capacity Building Retreat for Officers on grade levels 13 to 17 in the State service, holding at Watbridge Hotels and Suites, Uyo.
Elder Effiong Essien explained that by this development, 2248 Civil Servants from levels 7 and above have been been benefitted from the promotion exercise and are being moved to the next grade levels in their Civil Service career.
The Head of Civil Service therefore, on behalf of all workers, especially, the benefiting officers, expressed deep gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel for his unrelenting commitment towards the welfare and development of Akwa Ibom workers.
Elder Essien described the released promotion as very timely and beneficial as the additional earnings will help augment the increasing family expenditure of the affected workers.
He charged the workers not to relent in their dedication and support to the present goverment to reciprocate the Governor’s sincere concern for them.
It would be recalled that the State Executive Council, presided over by the Governor, in August this year, had ordered the cancellation of the previous promotion exercise due to reported high number of candidates who missed the exams and directed a repeat of the entire process, through the Office of the Head of Civil Service, “to ensure inclusivity.”
